On this, the 50 th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s speech, Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence, we find ourselves still confronted by our deeply rooted problems of racism, militarism, sexism, and materialism. “Vietnam” could be replaced by Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, and other locations, and the speech would still be relevent, 5 decades later.

Dr. King’s ever-living words will be read by members of Veterans for Peace, Bay Peace, Afro Solo, and other organizations.
